Magnetic flux mediated growth response in different microbes and plant species

This project aims to understand the effect of different magnetic flux on the growth of various plant and microbe species and to find the optimal magnetic flux for the highest growth response.
The objective of the project is to be a preliminary work in the field of Astrobiology and may find applications in vertical farming, terraforming, etc.

Microplastic detection in common edible and cosmetic products

This undergoing project aims to quantify the presence of microplastics in plastic-packaged food and cosmetic products. Our primary results indicate the presence of minute amount of microplastics in our samples. The next step would be to quantify and further go for toxicology studies.
Silver nanoparticles preparation by using different plant extracts as capping agents and their antimicrobial property tested against various bacterial strains

We have used multiple plant extracts to prepare silver nanoparticles and further verified their antimicrobial potential against several bacterial strains by using disk diffusion assay and microbroth dilution method.
